An engineering and manufacturing company is donating $3,500 to the Little Chute Career Pathways Academy. According to Academy Lead Teacher, Shawn Volk, “the academy will use the donation to further the academy’s mission of providing students with high-level academic and career preparation opportunities.”

“Amerequip’s enthusiasm regarding the LCCPA is a result of the school’s vision to provide an educational experience that allows for a smooth transition from school to work,” President and CEO of Amerequip Mike Vander Zanden said. “The Academy’s openness and desire to listen to the needs of companies within manufacturing and develop curriculum accordingly is reassuring. Amerequip hires first on character so it is very exciting to see students receiving direct instruction on the same 21st century skills that we are teaching and emphasizing with our team members in-house.  I am confident that the formula created by the Academy will ensure students are graduating with all the necessary skills to be successful and meet the growing requirement of manufacturing companies.”

Academy students work in conjunction with Fox Valley Technical College, UW-Fox Valley and regional business and industry partners developing their post-secondary focus. Students must demonstrate strong The Little Chute Career Pathways Academy brings academics to life through real-world hands-on projects where students collaborate and solve problems alongside their business partners in the fields of manufacturing, health sciences and business.

The academy continues to evolve and grow and is looking for additional ways to be of service to its business partners. To join in that collaboration or to find more information on the Little Chute Career Pathways Academy visit www.lccpa.littlechute.k12.wi.us or contact Shawn Volk at 920-788-7605.
