Amerequip, a manufacturer of custom equipment for the lawn, landscape, agricultural and construction markets, has been granted a U.S. Patent for a quick connect system it developed for a John Deere backhoe. The system was designed by Amerequip engineers Terry Schwalenberg and Eric Muehlbauer.
"We're extremely proud of the fact we were able to develop a unique system that benefits John Deere and its customers," said Mike Vander Zanden, president/chief executive officer of Amerequip. The system makes it easier and quicker for backhoe implements to be connected to a utility vehicle without manually attaching/detaching the implement. "Congratulations to our team on this significant accomplishment," Vander Zanden added. "This is exactly the kind of creativity and customer focus that allows us to grow as a company."
Amerequip provides design and engineering services, along with production and manufacturing, of custom equipment for international and national customers in a wide variety of industries. The firm operates four Wisconsin facilities in New Holstein and Kiel with more than 155 employees.
