Amerequip, a designer and manufacturer of custom equipment for the lawn, landscape, agricultural, construction and industrial equipment markets, has received Progress Lakeshore's 2015 Corporate Investment Award.
Progress Lakeshore, Inc., is a regional economic development organization.
The group's Corporate Investment Award recognizes a business that has made a positive economic impact on the community (employment growth); has expanded the business facility or product/services (business growth); is active in community service and leadership; and has developed innovative efforts used to adapt to marketplace change In the past year, Amerequip has added 68 new employees and expanded its manufacturing space by more than 110,000 square feet.
"With a three-year track record of growth in sales, an expansion of its workforce, and the investment of $11.75 million in capital expenditures for facility and equipment upgrades as well as technology, Amerequip is an outstanding example of a firm that is doing things right," said Progress Lakeshore President Will Casey. "Amerequip's leadership and staff are actively involved in the community and in workforce development."
